Garius is a boar innkeeper and bartender in the visual novel GameOver. He is the first character you meet in the game and gives you a cheap room to sleep in during your stay in the town, along with offering you free meals once a day that restores 50 HP and stamina. He has four Bad Ends to discover.

Personality

Constantly holding himself with a broad and expansive attitude, Garius is often blunt and straightforward in conversations. He will openly talk about sexual topics, if appropriate, and states his desire for partners that are willing to let him be in control. He is quick to note, however, that he's not wanting others to be outright submissive to him, but that he doesn't want to be involved with dominant people. Instead, he just wants someone who is willing to do some roleplay with him, such as calling him "Daddy", and having him be in charge. He has no compunctions about the sex of his partner either.

Backstory

When conversing with him, Garius will occasionally give hints about the history of the tavern. He notes that the inn used to be much larger than it is currently, but that was before his time in charge, and he hopes to one day expand to that size once more. He also rarely notes that he used to be married, though something happened to his wife in the past, and that while he's since struck up a relationship with one of the mercenaries, it's not really a close personal connection. Before he was an innkeeper, Garius was a member of the construction team, with the previous innkeeper being a woman who eventually left the town. After having some close interactions with him, a conversation between him and Reynard will give some insights on Garius' prior wife. That she was a "polite and humble woman" and the chef has no idea why she liked being with such a boorish man as the boar. Also, that they had a son together who is a dashing adventurer right now, but that meant he wasn't around to help when something unfortunate happened to his mother.

Questlines

A Boar and His Waiter

Properly greeting Garius the morning after your arrival, he happily quizzes you about how you like the place and gives you the highlights on the inn benefits you have available. Talking with him again has Garius question your journey to the town and what's going on in the northern forest. You have no idea what he's talking about though and are left with more questions than answers. He also asks you for some assistance while you're exploring around town. He wants to learn more about a special area to the west of town that was a special growing area for the old town alchemist, though no one has been able to find it since they left. Now that that's out of the way, he asks what your favorite kind of drinks are, since he wants to expand the selection he offers to entice all the mercenaries and adventurers coming to town. He also mentions a particularly beautiful and fiery red headed lady in the mercenary group that dominates and drinks everyone else under the table, even the head of the group.

You can also choose to help Garius out at the bar by acting as a waiter and he's especially happy that he can convince you to wear a not quite appropriate uniform. Bjorn also appreciate the outfit and gets a bit handsy, which gets Garius to tell him to back off. It seems the boar would prefer if he was the only one allowed to put their hands on you. During another work session, a mysterious cloaked person enters the tavern and heads up to his room. Garius sends you up to delivery the person an evening meal, though you don't get to see much of the person in the process. A lot of general attention gets sent your way while you're working and Garius explains why everyone seems to be so pent up, due to how few women there are in town and that the brothel hasn't been built yet.

Getting Behind The Bar

Once you've started working at the tavern and show up with lust at half or more, Garius will decide to have some fun with you instead of having you work. He introduces you to the very large weapon he has in his trousers. And gives you questionable drinks whose contents have been personally provided by him. He even gets bold enough to give you a finger taste of it directly without you expecting it. Be careful you don't let him wear you out with his antics though or he might take you up to your room to fully fulfill all the things he's been promising you.

After having done through all three play scenes, having met Azlos,, and having worked out with Vic, Garius will comment on the rumor of you starting to go to the gym. He says if you're going to be working on your body because you want more action with everyone, he'll give you that option. From now on, you can choose if you want to work or if you want to go behind the bar and have some fun with the boar. He lets you go down on him and just outright has you get on the counter so he can take you fully, with a variant scene after your first time. If you have musk unlocked, then you can offer to give Garius a bath with your tongue, with multiple different parts being an option. He admits to liking that you smell like him once you're done. Just be careful not to let your lust get too high or he'll make you a permanent barhand there to help him keep his surprisingly popular specialty drinks refilled with his essence.

Other new play methods with Garius require you to have certain kinks unlocked and will cost you 10 gold each time. If you have done Garius' game over and have vore unlocked, he'll suggest having himself use a potion from Azlos on his lower extremities to let you stretch your way inside, though you'll have to pay for the potion whenever you want to do it. He's a little confused by the unexpected sensations when doing so, but learns to enjoy it, especially when he has to turn his attention to helping out customers. He apologizes afterward for not sticking around after you were let out because the whole effort exhausted him. For this playtime in particular, be careful you don't run out of health or you'll take up a more permanent residence as a part of his body. An additional option if you've gotten Reynard's game over and have transformation unlocked, Garius will bring up using one of the fox's potions to give you the chance to spend some time as his junk, for a monetary cost of course. After turning into a part of him, Reynard goads the boar into working off some excess energy. He says afterwards that he really enjoyed it and the size you gave him, though he admits that he prefers more normal sexual encounters with you.

Upgrading Your Wardrobe

Having played with Garius nearly a half dozen times and having worked at the tavern nearly a dozen times, he comments on how close you both are getting and how he doesn't want you to get bored working there. He's got a present for you planned the next time you show up for work to help fix this. The new uniform you're presented with is quite different from the original. You may have been wearing quite tight clothing in the first place, but it was still a full uniform, This one is much shorter, both with the shirt cutting off just below your pecs and the shorts being all the way up to your behind. Booty shorts indeed. Garius apparently had them custom made by Rutherfurd and while they were supposed to be something he was going to try to convince Reynard to wear, you became the better candidate. Being from the noble tailor, the fabric is quite high quality and fashionable, if not somewhat perverted.

Your first work session wearing them definitely shows Bjorn's enthusiasm for your attire, though Garius lets him know that if he causes you to break any glasses, he's paying for it. Other patrons seem to be getting just as handsy, way more than before. Bjorn recommends you join the brothel when it opens. He guarantees that you'll be popular. While having you taste test some actual new drinks for the tavern, Garius again brings up the old alchemist's secret garden in the western forest, noting that the unique ingredients there would be good for new recipes. If you've done his third game over, he'll ask you to keep an ear out for rumors about it, as will he, and he knows two people who can help him find what he needs once you've got the location. What it is he's looking for is apparently meant to be a surprise. Having heard the guard Jar mention the secret garden, you can tell Garius about it and he'll develop a plan to convince the guard to give you both the location.

Romancing The Barkeep

Deciding to get a bit more serious with you, Garius has a talk about all the fun you both have been having together and how it feels like you both have been together for months rather than just a few days. You feel much the same. With that out of way, he asks how you've been liking your new uniform and you confirm it's pretty great. He wants you to keep it up until he has an alternative to get customers rather than everyone coming to see you strut around. After this point, if you've unlocked foraging and has Reynard make you a Banana Pork Pottater Stew, you can invite Garius on a date. He really enjoys the food, wondering if he should have you collect ingredients for him to make new drinks, You decide to have dessert early, with a scene variation if you have musk unlocked, and he gets his own reward from you as well. You talk a bit afterwards, getting romantically more connected, and Garius tells you that he enjoyed your time together.

Being closer with Garius also allows you to suggest a kinkier option when next you play so long as you have the watersports kink unlocked. Once you've encountered the new waiter and delivery man for the tavern, you can ask Garius about Burchill and the things the tiger mentioned. He gets a bit embarrassed and avoids the questions, though says he did tell Burchill a bit about you and him.

The Boar Bulks Up

After you've spoken with Garius about your close relationship, he'll appear at the Gym whenever Vic isn't there. He reveals that he started working out after getting jealous of hearing what you were doing. You tell him that you like his gut though, surprising him. He offers to be your workout or sparring partner whenever you want. Further gym interactions with Garius requires having gotten Ran's permission to patrol with the guards, having already met Burchill, and having agreed to help the boar search for information about the secret garden. Having the musk kink is also required for much of the dialogue. The gossip that he is, Reynard had already informed Garius about your promotion and he congratulates you on it while you're working out at the gym. Though he notes that he would still like your help at the tavern if you want, since you're the best waiter they have. Helping spot him during his workout, you can't help but admire his body and maybe get a close sniff or two. While you're getting a drink of water, he boxes you in with his body, letting you also tease him back with yours. Admiring him while he does some squats, you comment on how impressive both his front and back look. It's just too bad you both can't do anything in public here.

Since you're working with the guards now, Garius wants to help you bulk up and get muscles like him. He makes you work extra hard next session, but then proves to be an active distraction and gets handsy. He gives you a "massage" and gives you some dirty talk. Commenting on your chest that he had manhandled, Garius points out that they feel like they're missing something, like they used to be different from what he remembered. But neither of you can think of what, so he says he'll just have to keep fondling from now on until he figures it out. The next session indeed has you doing a chest workout and he's making you bench a lot of weight. Him being your spotter results in some expected antics involving his loose shorts, which you both enjoy, but makes him think he should get a new pair so it's less distracting. He apologizes afterwards and suggests he should get a new wardrobe from Rutherfurd, including some dating clothes. Which he immediately retracts, embarrassed, and claims they're for Reynard.

A Boar and His Piglets

If you've spoken with Mayor Sep about the changes Jar has made to your body, gotten the mission from Garius to find the secret garden and have spoken with him about your date together, along with having the mpreg kink turned on and having had more than two children, then Garius will tell you about something interesting he heard from the Mayor about you. He nervously suggests about you both having another date where he cooks instead. If you agree, he'll send you up to your room to wait for him while he gets Vic to cover his shift. He brings up a large pot of stew for you both, his Mom's recipe, and you chow down. After finishing, he finally admits to knowing that you can get pregnant and wants to know if you want to spend some personal time with him and see if anything happens. Your agreement gets you a kiss and a friendly warning that he might manage to get you knocked up even before Jar's magic does anything, just like he did with his prior wife even outside of her heat period.

Heading to bed with him has Garius get right to business and you having to pick how you want things to go. Allowing the boar to take charge has him make liberal use of your body and thoroughly breeding you. You wake up worn out and sore, but Garius has to get up for work, though he does take you for a private bath first. Alternatively you can choose to warm him up first, though that does leave you rather unprepared for his attack. This leave you rather destroyed and with a limp the next morning. Garius asks you how you enjoyed things the following day, showing that Reynard already told everyone about what you two were doing. Though Garius teases him with some graphic descriptions and questions about our activities in response. If you went for the other sexual interaction, Garius teases you directly about your actions taking care of him and Reynard's commentary gives you a bigger glimpse of the boar's history.

He'll also make fun at the gym, wondering if you'd be allowed to sneak into the bathhouse in the back for another try at a kid. With the other sex you had, he'll paw at your chest again, but something will come out this time, surprising you. After you've been together at least three times, you'll wake up at the Healer's Office, having already produced your eggy children. Garius is there to hold you though, making you wish you could really be his wife and have children with him normally. Reynard congratulates you with a cake after, admitting he had to help carry you to Oscar in the first place. After you collapse suddenly in a conversation with Azlos, Garius will express his concern after seeing the wolf carry you up to your room. He's happy that you've recovered. When you've fulfilled part of your contract with Jar by having him magic you up to Garius' room to get you round with kids again, he'll comment afterwards that his downstairs producers have grown bigger. He argues with Reynard about it, saying that the fox even had to restitch his clothing because he didn't fit in them.

A New Bar And A New Bartender

Later on, after you've been given the task to keep an ear out for information on the secret garden, have gone on a date with Garius, have been seen injured by Garius after training with Azlos, and have been taken for a meeting with Diakor by Commander Garthoz, he'll ask you to help him out with something. Though you'll get distracted with how bulked up his body is that you miss what exactly it is he's asking for. From the sounds of things, you'll be accompanying him somewhere and he says he can teach you some bartending while you're at it. He also complains about the kid having gotten back and not doing any work, which confuses you. You don't know who he's talking about, but somehow feel like you actually do, but also don't.

It turns out that Garius had agreed to run a new bar located at the Barracks for the guards and knights. Though it is a bit of a surprise to the boar when Garthoz reveals you as the Oracle. It seems like Garius is planning to run the whole shebang himself and, while Vic and Reynard would be able to hold the fort at the tavern, there's no way he'd be able to keep up with cooking and bartending at the same time. So you offer to take over the former task, eager to flex your new cooking skills. He also suggests that, if you're both going to be working over there together, that you might want to spend the night with him sometimes rather than going all the way back to the tavern.

Food And Secrets

You begin your new occupation through some simple cooking and then you go to deliver a meal to Iron, obtaining from him his liking for baked savory goods. Afterwards, Garius explains that he was given a list of diet requirements for each of the different guards, which appalls you in how much work Garthoz is expecting. You decide to talk to the Mayor in the future to get some new hires. If you've taken Steel on a date, then you'll end up taking him food next time you work. He'll drag you away from the training grounds though where the new knights are working on controlling their new blessing powers. He informs you that, being the Oracle, any other of Diakor's blessed that are near you automatically get an increase in their powers, which will interfere with the new knights' training. After you've helped Garthoz control his violent tendencies,, you can offer him some food and find out that he remember eating a lot of meat when he was younger, needing it for his species to grow.

Once you've been on a date with Kubas, you can bring him his lunch and learn he prefers fruits and vegetables. You also learn he's now a follower of Diakor and is working on mastering his new ability to track the location of anyone he has enough information about. So long as you've met Ran in the Residential district, you can bring him some food. He explains that while he will eventually be serving Diakor, he can't be seen openly doing so because of the purpose he will be given by the Sovereign. Therefore, he doesn't want you visiting him like this in the future while you're on duty. If you've done your special training with Ran and Voltor, you'll run into your lightning-challenged mate under Ran's tutelage and give him a boxed lunch. He has no idea on his preferences though, so you will just have to let him keep trying new things.

As long as you've hung around with Ethoras enough that he's been approved as a guard for the town, you can bring him some food. It seems he's in training too, though not to become a knight due to his particular afflition. The Sovereign will be using him for something else, but he's looking forward to getting the same glowing bits as the others. Once you've helped Geve get approval to patrol inside the town, you can bring him some food and he'll explain that he's working on controlling his powers under Captain Ran, who is apparently forming his own private special forces with Diakor's approval. Completing far enough with Rigur that Sovereign Diakor becomes interested in the minotaur's resilience to alternative timeline memory loss will allow you to go and find him with a food offering. It seems the bull is guarding a door that is to become the new, publicly available entrance to Diakor's domain.

After Jar has explained his mark along with his and Varok's history, you run across the imp and give him a meal, though it looks like Diakor is planning on having the demons in town be used for something outside of the knights. Jar also suggests that he can teach you how to properly use your Oracle powers and won't take advantage of you too much in the process. Once you've caused a change in Varok's mark and had him desire to investigate that change, you'll consider bringing him lunch. But that will then make you wonder what he even eats, since you've never even seen him consume anything. You also get hornily distracted with thoughts of him controlling you. If you've had Sparky notice his own mark change and had Varok bring him in to the search for information, he'll show up to peruse your wares. Taking some fruits, he suggests using them to make a meal rich in mana, which should entice more mages to come to town.

Once you've had a second life with Boruk in an alternative timeline, you'll find him in the training area for knights. He apparently likes spicy and well seasoned food. After you've gone on your full forest inspection with Crux, he'll surprised you with a rope leg trap and whisk away the meal you made for him. His training will apparently give him some new rope tricks thanks to Diakor. Having shown off your transformation skills to Malakar, you'll bring him his lunch and learn he likes hard and crumbly sweets with his liquid stimulants.

A Boar's Romantic Tryst

After your work day is over and you haven't stayed over with Garius at the Barracks before, he'll make some stew for you to eat, but also take the opportunity to have some other fun with you. Though you both nearly get caught by Garthoz until an excuse is made about you not feeling well. Apologizing for nearly outing you both, Garius suggests you step it up at the gym to keep up with all the training the guards will be receiving. Staying the evening with Garius is going to leave you quite tuckered out the following day with how much action you were having overnight. He gives you a bit of history after saying he really enjoyed spending the night with you. Apparently he had some trouble with his wife's father until he got strong enough to beat him in a straight up fight. He also ended up having eight children with her who all went on to become adventurers. Maybe you'll get to meet them someday? The lunch break the following day has Garius suspiciously absent and you wonder if this has to do with the present he promised to give you. He does apologize for his sudden disappearance when asked after, explaining that it took a while to get the items he wanted due to how busy and crowded the town has become.

Returning to your joint bedroom, you find that you've been left a gift: a matching set of red lingerie. You quickly don the outfit to surprise Garius and end up having a wonderful night with him. Sadly, he got so excited with you during the night that your entire outfit went to shreds, but he hopes to at least get you a similar pair of silky gloves someday. The next day, he's especially handsy and upbeat, wanting to have an extra special night with you and take you out on a maybe date. If you say no, you'll head home and he's once again apologize for being so frisky with you when it was clear you didn't want to get that involved with him at the time. If you do choose to stay that final night, Garius will end up truly making you his missus and you'll be a bartender at the bar permanently from that day onward.

As soon as you're done with the initial barracks work, you can take up Garius offer to work up a sweat at the gym. He'll let you decide the workouts from now on, though he'll make sure you both are working hard on them. Maybe even lose some of his belly, not that you want that to happen. Even though you're making the decisions, you find Garius making things distracting for, probably on purpose, especially with judicious application of his pecs. As you make progress, he asks if his rump is looking more shapely. Which you very much approve and wonder if he's becoming less sensitive about showcasing that area. The following bar lift exercise has him "reward" you briefly before stopping as a tease. You really need to get him back somehow. He's super smug about it after too.

Giving You A Turn

After your final interactions while working at the Barracks and having had a wonderful bartending life with Garius, he suggests letting you be in charge the next time you sleep over. The next time you go to bed with Garius, he'll brag about his improved physique for a bit before giving you access to his body. The following interaction scene allows the use of three types of interactions with different body parts. If all three interactions are used with the same part of his body four to five times to exhaust all interactions for that body part (the number varies depending on the type of interaction and the body part), a conversation will be unlocked the following day.

For example, he didn't realize someone could be so into legs like you are, which makes him wonder more about that worshipping thing Vic told him about. He's also impressed with how well you're able to clean down below, since he always has trouble with that. Getting familiar with his pole has him tell you about some more brutal techniques that Sep has been bringing up. He's also surprised you like his large gut so much. Though some experimentation, you find out that Garius' nipples are his secret weakness. You also accidentally reveal your weakness to his chest. After you spent some fun times under his arms, he wonders why you still smell like him even a day later. You also inadvertently promoted his ego by admiring his thick guns. You both also find out you love making out, but Reynard makes fun of you when he suggests heading to the back to do some kissing. After completing both of his climax interactions twice, he'll compliment you, but also suggest going out on a real date too. And he wants to give you a real gift to remember him by.
