Malakar is the canine judge and prison warden for the Order of Imperial Knights and the town as a whole in the visual novel GameOver. Originally from the imperial capital, he's arrived as a member of the worshippers of the Sovereign Diakor, blessed with the ability to immediately identify criminals from basic descriptions. A complete sadist, he enjoys causing pain and dominating prisoners in order to get his own satisfaction. He has two Bad Ends to discover.
Questlines
Arrested By The Warden
To first encounter the warden at the Town Center, you must have already become Diakor's vassal,[1] have already discussed with Vandeel his desire to keep having public clothing "accidents",[2] have perplexed Iron enough that he decides to ask someone he knows about the strange extra-temporal feelings he's been having,[3] and have fulfilled Commander Garthoz's needs along with having spoken about him to Diakor and the Sovereign's need to have an Executioner with the right outlook.[4] Once all of this has been accomplished, you will find in the town center a large gathering of people around an official Crown warrant notice for your arrest for public indecency. You will then find yourself confronted by Malakar, along with a guilty looking Iron and Steel, who will all arrest you and throw you in the Barracks jail. Iron will be there when you wake up, explaining that you shouldn't be in there too long and that you should listen to what Malakar tells you to do to finish your punishment faster. Unsurprisingly, Vandeel is locked up here as well. He's then sent back to the forge under house arrest. Malakar, meanwhile, gives you some physical punishment over several days.[5] This ultimately results in you staying in jail for an extended period of time and becoming a sort of pet for the warden to let off steam.[6]
Upon the reversal of the timeline, you can speak with Captain Ran and he will direct you to turn yourself in directly rather than letting Malakar catch you. He can't keep the warden busy with paperwork forever, after all.[7] You go to the Barracks jail yourself and encounter Malakar, who knows Ran must have sent you to avoid him winning their agreement. He still wants to put up the wanted poster though, since he spent time making it. He explains that, as the Judge, Diakor has given him the ability to know exactly how someone looks even from the smallest description so long as the person he's speaking to has seen the suspect. He tells you to go and see Garthoz to get your charges officially dropped.[8] After having the commander commute your crimes,[9] you'll finally be able to interact with Malakar normally. It seems Garthoz has been passing laws to keep Malakar's activities away from you, though he's already lost interest in locking you up now that you know what he's about. Without the fear and confusion, it's less fun for him. As for his job, he looks forward to when the Investigator finally arrives, so he won't have to bother with all the evidence collecting and other banalities. He wants to just do his work as Judge and Warden and also leave any needed executions to Garthoz the Executioner. Malakar himself hasn't ever taken a life and doing so would actually reduce his powers due to the restrictions each of Diakor's blessings creates.[10]
Training With The Judge
Malakar brings up your experience in dealing with certain classes of people, particularly the nobility. In his duties, he'll have to go around town and instill law abiding fear into certain members of the populace and would prefer if he had a plaything he could keep around during his travels.[11] He's heard about your fun time with the fiends in town and the multiple seals you already have. He says to let him know if you find a fiend that hasn't made an agreement with Sep yet, since he'd like a fiend pet. He also has someone else being sent to the town who got in trouble for being too violent and killing other prisoners.[12] After receiving your reward from Ran for being a Good Boy,[13] he'll end up telling Malakar about your ability to turn into a liquid metal canine. So now he's interested in you coming along with him on his trips to town.[14]
To join Malakar, you must have the transformation kink activated. Instead of going into the town this time, he has you use your liquid metal to change into a whip for him so he can punish an unruly prisoner. It seems Bjorn has been arrested for unruly drunkenness in public. Your new body is used to physically and sexually punish the bear into shaping up.[15] Malakar appreciates your transformation capabilities, though that's not a compliment, and considers getting some slimes from Harold to have them form into new torture tools for him to use.[16] Your next punishment victim is Vandeel, who was once again caught doing things in public. He gets a whipping as well.[17] Afterwards, Malakar wonders about the time he'll need to take to teach you the proper keywords and actions so you can actually be helpful in his punishments.[18] Be careful you don't run out of stamina while accompanying Malakar on his activities or you'll find yourself permanently as his violent pet who carries out the physical harm he can't do himself.[19]
The next time you see Malakar, you somehow instinctively know what type of canine form to take to properly satisfy what he's looking for and, surprised at your change to his perfect intimidating pet, he decides you're ready for him to train you on how to be the best hunting companion.[20] Your first training session is meant to get you used to different scents and how to isolate certain smells, but you find you're able to already do this remarkably well despite never having thought about or tried it in this form. Since that's accomplished, Malakar has you memorize a particular scent you somewhat recognize, yet don't, and says to tell him if you ever smell it again. He'll also have you working with one of Ran's canine guards to learn more.[21] Intrigued by your capabilities, Malakar is looking forward to getting to the "fun" part of training and gets out a spiked collar for you.[22] Taking you out to the forest, he has you sniff out a rabbit, though is disappointed you didn't kill it. He explains that when hunting an animal, it's better to put them out of their misery rather than let them be in terror when caught. Next, he had you hunt for a boar for dinner.[23] He says you've passed the training and he looks forward to your violently catching criminals for him. Now you'll need to get Kubas and Azkim together for your real outings.[24]
Since Azkim will be a bit finishing missions for Mayor Sep, Malakar decides to have you both take a stroll through the town and partake in some anti-criminal activities.[25] Visiting Reynard at the tavern, Malakar has you secretly use your extend-o-tongue on the fox while also dosing him with some sort of solution that makes him docile.[26] He's pleased with how versatile you are and wonders if he should try out the solution on you in the future too.[27] Your followup adventure requires you to have piqued Steel's interest in why he and others seem to have an instant deeper connection with you despite barely having met you before.[28] Arriving to have some paperwork signed, Steel is interrupted by Malakar having you show him your skills, though you're sorely tongue-tested to find a large enough size for the stallion to even feel you at all. Both you and the warden are impressed in the end as Steel walks away no worse for wear.[29] The judge asks you if you plan to be a part of Steel's harem, which makes you both wonder how big the boys already in it have to be in order to satisfy him.[30]
