Rigur is a minotaur guard for the West Gate in the visual novel GameOver. Once a part of a minotaur village in the mountains, he now acts as a gate guard for the town, whom he considers to be his new tribe. Gruff and short of words, he becomes more talkative with you after you exhibit traits that interest his desire to have a mate, one of the few things he thinks about. He has one Bad End to discover.
Questlines
Protecting The Breeder
First encountering the bulky minotaur when visiting the West Gate, he isn't very talkative other than giving you his name and mentioning that he was told to do so when travelers meet him.[1] After this, he won't have any interest in talking unless you have the trait for mpreg, which instantly gains his attention. He then gets way too close into your personal space and refers to you as a "Breeder" from that point on. Though he's confused on both why you're male and why you aren't with your "Sire".[2]
Your next conversation has him figure out that you're the new traveler to the town and that you came alone. You admit to him that you have no Sire, shocking him, and he explains the hierarchical setup for minotaurs and how the Sire is the only one that produces children despite otherwise polygamous relationships. He says he can resist trying to assault you, however, since he's had a potion from Azlos that tempers his bestial instincts and an agreement with mayor Sep that obtaining a mate requires him to get to know the person and get their approval first.[3] When you tell him that you keep visiting because you want to be his friend, Rigur agrees since that means it brings you closer to agreeing to be his mate if you know each other well.[4]
If you choose to hang out with him, Rigur takes that as meaning that you need physical attention from him due to your apparent heat. And he will make sure that your heat is taken care of in two separate potential scenes.[5][6] He remains a bit confused about you being male, but is interested in you regardless and likes playing with you, looking forward to the children you will have together on the day you agree to call him Sire.[7] In order to have this hypothetical future in an alternative timeline, you need to also have the trait of transformation and then go overboard on your own health when playing with Rigur.[8] After time is reversed, Rigur notices how your relationship feels different in some way he can't explain. You both feel more relaxed around each other and he views you as more than a simple Breeder.[9]
Becoming A Sire
Once your defeat of Iron has been recognized by Captain Ran and he allows you to work alongside the other guards,[10] Rigur will comment on how it's strange that he's been told to allow you to be beside him, but that he's still lacking permission to do anything serious with you. He does admit to his feelings for you though and that he's happy that you want to know him better as well. He wants to show you to his home afterwards so you can continue to get closer.[11] If you inquire more about Rigur's past, he'll explain his life in the gladiatorial arena where he participated in life or death battles, with some of those instead being ones where he could claim his opponent for his harem after winning. But the arena was taken over and Rigur moved somewhere else, losing everyone he protected. Eventually, he came across Ran and lost to him in a duel, leading to Rigur choosing to serve Ran as his new Master.[12] Questioning further will just have him explain that after fleeing the arena, he stayed in the forest for some time, but encountered Ran when coming too close to the town. He likes it here, though thinks there needs to be a brothel.[13] Asking about his life before the arena doesn't tell you much, since he was born there, but the other minotaurs left to return to the mountains and he didn't follow. He also hates the others for leaving, since that let the arena be taken over.[14]
