Shlar is a elephant lumberjack in the visual novel GameOver. Found at the Lumberjack Hut, this dominant elephant of few words expects those around to listen to him and follow his instructions.

Questlines

First confronting Shlar shows he doesn't have much to say to you other than confirming he knows about the rumor of your arrival, he feels like there's something "off" about you, and that he only cares about you being around if you're going to help with his lumberjacking work. He lives in his cabin outside the town because he likes the forest, that's all there is to say. He also recognizes that you're not the person who came in with the mist and the stranger was wearing armor from nations far to the west. Also, there's something wrong with the trees. Once you've spoken with Vince and Azlos about the fox's theory that the mist is directly connected to the curse of illusion on the forest, you can also bring up this theory and its connection to the stranger with Shlar.

Your work with the elephant is back-breaking work and you're certainly not up for carrying entire trees like he does. But you do what work you can, noticing that the soon to be lumber is carted away by what looks like a centaur. If your lust after working with Shlar is half or more, he notices your stares and has you help him cool down. This initially is just you helping wipe down the sweat from his back and you're stopped before you get too handsy. Further scenes and later events require the musk trait to be unlocked. Your next cool down scene involves his arm and underarms, where he tells you afterwards that you need to focus on following his commands and not your own pleasure in your tasks. Be careful not to exhaust yourself during these sessions, however, or Shlar might decide you can't take care of yourself and personally make himself your permanent teacher.

After getting close with Dirk in a way neither of you can explain, Shlar has many warnings including describing how centaurs only allow one Alpha to be in charge. Which is why Dirk and Shlar are never working together, because the centaurs will take both of them as being in competition and will try to join in on proving themselves as the one in charge. Also, your activities with Dirk just tells them that you're his submissive and if he doesn't actively keep an eye on you, the centaurs will take advantage of that. Shlar suggests that you learn how to properly please them, which will prevent them from forcing themselves on you and they will avoid conflict with each other by only coming to you one by one. He decides that he needs to teach you how to serve if you're going to successfully do this job. Your next training session involves you having to clean Shlar again, but without using any rags this time around. Your capabilities are approved of by Shlar and he decides to move on to the next step.

More cleaning happens in a broader fashion, with you attempting to learn how to anticipate what is wanted and also keeping yourself under control while you work. He doubles down on this warning afterwards, saying that you need to be able to treat this as just a job and not become overtly lustful or the centaurs will notice and take advantage of that. Next he decides to test your strength by giving him a foot massage and determines that you're adequate, but need to go to the gym more. Shlar feels like you are now ready to handle the most important part, but suggests you get a potion from Azlos to make sure you're safe when handling large packages. Any further progress with Shlar will require that the inflation trait be unlocked. He then has you handle his assets and you must keep yourself only to the physical cleaning and be able to hold yourself back. You manage to last over a minute, which he considers good enough.
