Rutherfurd Burton is a hippo clothing store owner from the visual novel GameOver. He features two Bad Ends for you to discover.

Backstory

As a member of the Burton Lineage, Rutherfurd is originally from the country's capital and is a part of the grooming and clothing producing family that outfits high level nobles and members of the royal family. He is highly interested in learning new clothing styles and fashions from the player and other members of the town, especially because travelers through the area come from various regions, including nobles from those different nations.

Questlines

Initially wary of having any close connection with the player, having other close personal intimate interactions with Garius, Bjorn, and Reynard, along with visiting Rutherfurd while being in a particularly incensed state, he will have by then heard about your reputation and will be interested in taking advantage of it. After having had a sexual encounter with his prodigious pectorals, Rutherfurd will question you about the experience, noting that he does have occasional dalliances with other people in the town. But they are all rather large in every aspect and so don't fit well with his size, whereas you are perfectly sized for such experiences. A subsequent encounter will have him involve the player more in rough play with his bosom and he will determine afterwards that he is indeed interested in using one of Azlos' potions to allow him to lactate. Though he has his concerns if this sort of play gets out to the public at large, his family might take action against the originators of the information, including the player, to silence it.

Once you have learned this and have been overcome with desire for Rutherfurd, he discusses the difficulty of hiring workers that reflect well upon the House. But he feels like he has some connection with you somehow and can trust you to work with him, informing you that you'll be working alongside his adopted son, Waffurd. Speaking with Waffurd several times about him, his family, and his piercings, Rutherfurd will comment that he's glad you're getting along with him and that he wishes his son would get out and make friends with more people. After you've become intimate with Waffurd in all the different ways, including indulging in his multiple kinks, and spoken to him about the fun you've had, Rutherfurd will take notice of just how close you two have become. He thanks you for keeping his son company and returning his happiness to him.

Going through your first time working for Rutherfurd will have him after explain his childhood of helping the maids clean the house to create a good work ethic, which is why he is so particular in whom he hires. Further experience in the shop will have Rutherfurd confide in you that his son has become a lot more reclusive ever since they moved from the castle and less willing to showcase his craftsmanship work in the shop. The attention and support he's been giving to his son has cut into Rutherfurd's time spent on his own tailoring and personal work, but he wants to eventually pass on things to Waffurd as the hippo is getting on in years.
